The closed training of the Nepali team for the Women's U-19 World Cup to be held in Malaysia next January will be held in Chitwan.
Chairman of Chitwan Cricket Association Sudeep Piya informed that the training will be held on the model playground of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium under construction in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-15.
23 people including 18 players will participate in the closed training from January 10th to 22nd.
Bharatpur Metropolitan Chief Renu Dahal said that the ground has been provided as requested by Nepal Cricket Association (CAN). She also said that the metropolis is preparing to host the Women's U-19 World Cup match scheduled for Nepal and Bangladesh in 2027 in this stadium. Dahal, the head of the metropolis, informed that an initiative is being taken with CAN for this.
Earlier, Chitwan Rhinos, the franchise team of Nepal Premier League, also trained in this stadium.
