Today, Nepal is facing Sri Lanka in the 'Super-4' of the Women's U-19 Asia Cup in Malaysia. This match will be played at Airmass Oval Cricket Ground in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Nepal defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in its first match and entered Super-4. Similarly, after the last match of the group stage was canceled due to rain, Nepal and India shared one point each, but on the basis of run rate, India became the winner of Group 'A' and Nepal became the runner-up.
6 teams including the home team Malaysia are participating in the tournament which started last Sunday. Bangladesh, Malaysia and Sri Lanka are in Group A, while India and Pakistan along with Nepal are in Group B. Pakistan and Malaysia have been eliminated from the tournament. The Nepali team has 15 players under the captaincy of Pooja Mahato.
Soni Pakhrin is the vice-captain of the team. Similarly, the team includes Sana Praveen, Jatsnika Marasini, Kusum Godar, Elishakumari Yadav, Savitri Dhami and Krishma Gurung.
Similarly, Tirsna Vishwakarma, Kiran Kumari Kunwar, Riya Sharma, Rachna Chaudhary, Simana KC, Sneha Mahara and Anu Kadayat are also in the team. The competition will run until the 7th of January.
