Nepal is going to participate in the invitational hockey tournament to be held in Malaysia. It will be a festival competition in which players below 16 years of age will participate. The competition will be based on hockey fives. The team will have both male and female players. The competition will be held from December 17 to 21.
The Nepalese team has a total of 13 members. Among the participating players are Anushka Thapa, Bandana Bhatt, Sabina Rajvanshi and Tulsi Bohra on the women's side. Among the male players are Ronash Kumar Yadav, Sudeep Chaudhary, Vivek Vick, Sujal Maharjan, Roshan Pariyar and Sushant Rokaya. Hitkumar Gurung is the manager of the team and Deepak Khatiwada is the coach.
Similarly, Manish Prasad Bhatt will also play the role of umpire in the competition. President of Nepal Olympic Committee Jeevanram Shrestha bade farewell to the team during the program held at Satdobato on Saturday. On that occasion, President of Nepal Hockey Association Anil Prasad Sharma wished the success of the team.
