Lumbini Lions have lost their fourth consecutive game in Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket after Sandeep Zora failed to score 2 runs in the last ball. Janakpur Bolts defeated Lumbini by 1 run on Sunday after Zora got out in the last ball.
In contrast to Lumbini, Janakpur has won the fourth match in a row and the team has overtaken Sudurpaschim Royals and climbed to the top spot.
Lumbini needed 23 runs for victory in the last two overs. In the 19th over, Lumbini scored 14 runs, 13 of which were in the name of Zora . On the first ball of the last over, Harsh Thakar dismissed Saad Bin Zafar for a wicket. Durgesh Gupta hits a boundary on the second ball. Durgesh, who could not score any runs in the third ball, took 1 run in the fourth ball.
Jora narrowly avoided being run out while trying to get 2 runs off the fifth ball. In the last ball, Lumbini needed 2 runs to win and 1 run would have leveled the score . For Janakpur, Thacker spent 23 runs in 4 overs and took 5 wickets. Lalit Rajwanshi took 13 wickets in 4 overs, Kishore 25 runs in 3 overs and Sher Mall took 1 wicket each with 33 runs in 4 overs .
