With the help of Sohail Tanvir's 5 wickets, Chitwan Rhinos have made a winning start in Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket. Chitwan defeated Kathmandu Gurkhaz by 5 wickets on Monday.

Gurkhaz's Shahav Alam took 3 wickets. He spent 20 runs in 4 overs . Jehrad Erasmus and Dan Douthwaite took 1 wicket each. Earlier, Gurkhaz, who was tossed to bat after 5 wickets of Tanveer, lost 9 wickets at the Trivi Cricket Ground, Kirtipur and managed to make only 111 runs.

He dismissed Gurkhaz captain Karan KC and Shahav for 1 run in his fourth over. Tanveer has taken 5 wickets by spending only 21 runs in 4 overs.

Gurkhaz did not have a good start. English opener Eskinazi got out in 2 runs. Another opener Levitt scored 25 runs with 4 fours and 1 six. Kushal bowled Erasmus for 4 runs. Bhim scored only 1 run and got out LBW by Tanveer .

Shankar Rana played 17 balls with 1 four and six and scored 16 runs. Rashid Khan could also make only 4 runs. Sumit Maharjan scored the highest 29 runs from Gurkhaz. He got out in the 18th over after hitting 1 four in 41 balls.

Dan Douthwaite hit 2 fours off 18 balls for 19 and Dipesh Kandel remained unbeaten on 1 run . Chitwan's Region Dhakal, Kushal, Amarsingh Routel and Benkenstein took 1 wicket each.
