India's Muzaffarpur won the first Chandrapur Mayor T-20 League Cricket Tournament organized by Sangharsh Yuva Club Chandranigahpur.
Muzaffarpur defeated Rautahat's Madhavnarayan Municipality by 45 runs in the final match at Kotihome Sports Ground located in Chandrapur-8 on Monday.
Muzaffarpur, who batted first, scored 135 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Rajkumar scored 40 runs off 32 balls. Imran Nazir scored 28 runs off 25 balls. Madhavnarayan's bowler Chandan Thakur took 3 wickets for 24 runs. Abhiraj Yadav gave away 24 runs and took 2 wickets. Ranjit Yadav, Dipendra Sah and Satish Yadav took one wicket each.
Pursuing the victory target of 136 runs given by Muzaffarpur, Madhavan Narayan was limited to 90 runs in 15 overs. Muzaffarpur's bowler performed well. Ashish Singh took 4 wickets with 26 runs, Mayank Kumar took 2 wickets with 10 runs, Manjay Kumar took 2 wickets and Ashutosh Singh took 1 wicket.
Madhavnarayan's Chandan Thakur was the Player of the Series and Ranbir Yadav was the Best Batter. Muzaffarpur's Aditya Kumar became the best bowler. Muzaffarpur's Rajakumar was the player of the match. Mayor Sanjay Kafle of Chandrapur municipality distributed trophies and certificates to the winning team and the best players. Six municipalities of the district and two teams from India participated in the
competition.
