For the first time in Jumla, the Karnali Province inter-municipal level volleyball tournament with a prize money of two lakh rupees has started. A volleyball tournament has started in Hima Rural Municipality-2 Odigaon organized by Lama Vishnu Youth Club. The competition was inaugurated by Hima rural municipality chairman Lakshman Bahadur Shahi on Tuesday.

Addressing the program, President Shahi expressed his happiness that an important game like volleyball is being played in a remote area of ​​Jagerna district. He said, 'Recently, when football has reached the village, the attraction towards volleyball has decreased. But with this type of project that is regularly held in remote areas, emphasis has been placed on conservation.'

He promised that the local government would be involved in the production of district, state and national level players. 26 teams are participating in the competition. Local Rang Bahadur Rokaya informed that volleyball players from Lekbensi Municipality of Kalikot and Surkhet have come to the tournament. According to him, the winner of the competition will be awarded a trophy, medal and certificate along with two lakh rupees. youth club, said that 500 prizes have been arranged for the players who perform well in each game. The volleyball tournament was organized with the financial support of Hima Rural Municipality, the facilitation of Hima Ward No. 2 and the Lama Vishnu Youth Club.
