Nepal defeated Sri Lanka in the South Asian Football Federation (SAF) U-17 Championship men's football tournament.
Nepal defeated Sri Lanka by 4-0 in the match held at Changlimithang Stadium in Bhutan on Monday. With the win, Nepal, which is in Group B, has added three points in two matches. Nepal was defeated by Pakistan in the first match with a goal difference of 1-0. Sri Lanka lost in both matches since
and is without points. Sri Lanka was defeated by the home team Bhutan 5-1 in the first match. Sujan Dangol completed a hat trick and Vigyan Khadka added a goal in Nepal's victory on Monday. Nepal took the first lead through Sujan's goal in four minutes of the
game. Then, in the 12th minute of the game, Sujan doubled the lead of his team.
Sujan completed the hat trick by scoring in the 30th minute of the game. Then in the 84th minute of the game, Vigyan scored and gave Nepal an easy victory of 4-0. Nepal will play its third match against the host Bhutan on October 9.
