Sudurpaschim Province has lifted the trophy of the 14th Central Level President's Running Shield. Sudurpaschim won 19 gold, 12 silver and 18 bronze medals and became the team champion for the first time.

Wagmati came second with 17 gold, 13 silver and 15 bronze. Third place Karnali won 10 gold, 5 silver and 16 bronze. Koshi who won 8 gold, 9 silver and 9 bronze finished fourth. Lumbini, who won consecutive titles in the previous three editions, finished fifth with 6 gold, 11 silver and 18 bronze. Gandaki was sixth with 3 golds, 10 silvers and 13 bronzes and Madhesh province was seventh with 3 golds, 6 silvers and 9 bronzes. The

winner was awarded by National Sports Council Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising and others. 686 players from all seven provinces participated in the tournament under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Athletics, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Karate, Taekwondo and Usu were contested in 6 sports.

66 were competing for gold. Athletics boys/girls won 13-13 each for 26 golds, Karate, Taekwondo and Usu boys/girls won 36 golds each, and Volleyball and Kabaddi boys/girls won 1-1 each for 4 golds.

Sudurlai double gold in kabaddi

Sudurpaschim won both boys and girls in kabaddi. Sudurpaschim defeated Koshi 32-26 in the final of students held at the National Table Tennis Training Center in Lanchaur. Lumbini and Madhesh came third. Sudurpaschim defeated Lumbini 40-27 in the final for the girls. Karnali and Wagmati came third.

Lumbini and Wagmati volleyball winners Lumbini and Wagmati state champions in

volleyball. First among Lumbini students and Bagmati students. Both teams beat Gandaki. Lumbini beat Gandaki 25-17, 25-14, 19-25, 25-19 in the student final at Rakhep Coverdhall. Karnali came third.

In the women's title match, Wagmati defeated Gandaki in straight sets 25-13, 25-14, 25-14. Lumbini stood third.

Wagmati Usum team champion

Usum Wagmati Province became the team champion with 5 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze. Sudurpaschim finished second with 5 golds, 3 silvers and 3 bronzes in semi-covered hall at Rakhep in Tripureshwar. Koshi, who came third, won the same 2-2 gold and bronze. There was a competition for 12 golds and 8 golds were decided on the second day.

Sansoun students Sushant Chaudhary of Sudurpaschim won gold in 42 kg, Mohan Bista of Sudurpaschim in 45 kg and Arun Sunar of Bagmati in 48 kg. Diksha Saud of Sudurpaschim in 42kg, Sapna Karki of Sudurpaschim in 45kg and Saru Rai of Koshi in 48kg were the winners. Himanshu Khadka of Bagmati and Deepika Chaudhary of Sudurpaschim won the gold in female students.

Wagmati won four Taekwondo gold 

In Taekwondo held at the Taekwondo Hall in Satdobato, Wagmati Province was ahead with 4 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze. Koshi finished second with 3 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze. Third place Sudurpaschim won the same 3 gold and bronze. Madhesh and Karnali won 1-1 gold. A total of 12 golds were contested. Students Jharna Nath under 44 kg and Deepa Jaisi under 46 kg won gold. Shishir Thagunna, a student under 48 kg, won gold for Sudurpaschim. Nischal Dhauli of Wagmati under 55 kg and Reshma Bhujel of Koshi under 49 kg won gold.

Wagmati Supremacy in Karate

Wagmati Province, which dominates martial arts, became the team champion in karate with 4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze.       Koshi came second with 2 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze in the competition held at the karate hall in Satdobato. Lumbini got the third place with 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Karnali and Sudurpaschim won 2-2 gold.  

Shikhar Nepali of Lumbini and Lakshman Kumar Shahi of Karnali won the gold in under 42 kg student category. Students Sonia Tiruwa of Sudurpaschim under 60 kg and Priyanka Shahi of Karnali under 45 kg won gold.
