The 15-day Mithila Madhyamiki Parikrama is being completed today after completing Janakpur's Inter-Griha Parikrama. The 15-day pada yatra is about to be completed in the middle of Mithila by circumambulating Panchkoshi Intergriha of Janakpurdham from midnight. The devotees started the padayatra after 12 midnight on Sunday.
Parikrama with Mithila Bihari Dola started from Mithila Vihari Temple located in Mithila Bihari Municipality-8 of Dhanusha on the first day of February. There are 12 resting places in Nepal and three places in India during the religious journey. During the circumambulation of Mithila Madhya, the pilgrims have completed a total of 133 km long religious journey, including 107 km in Nepal and 26 km in India.
Parikrama On the day of Fagu Purnima, the 15-day religious journey is being completed by performing the intergriha parikrama of Janakpur. There is a tradition of celebrating Holi in Mithila only on the day after Antargriha Parikrama. Holi is going to be celebrated on Wednesday after fish and meat cannot be eaten in Janakpur on Tuesday.
