Congress MP Geeta Gurung has warned the government not to be oversmart. Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, she warned the government not to be oversmart.
Commenting that the government is playing games with the future of students in the name of becoming 'smart', she urged the government to be aware of such issues. She said that serious errors were found in the Class 12 exam results and demanded an impartial investigation from the government. MP Gurung said that thousands of students and parents were harmed when the National Examination Board published the results in a hurry.
Although the government described the publication of the results within about 30 days as an achievement, she argued that the decision was counterproductive. She also expressed solidarity with the demands of the students protesting in Maitighar Mandal demanding justice.
'Being smart by publishing the results quickly is welcome, but distorting the process in a way that affects the accuracy of the results is condemnable.' The practice of robbing students in the name of retotaling should be stopped and arrangements should be made for free revaluation. Mr. Speaker, may the government become smart, we always have your best wishes, good wishes and support. But the government should not become overly smart by repeatedly asking questions on every subject.’
