The Nepali Congress has re-released its work schedule to streamline the active membership management and update process. According to the work schedule issued by the party's central office, Sanepa, various types of membership-related work will be completed by Asad 20.
The work schedule includes provisions for members who missed updating their active membership after Jestha 28 to update themselves. Similarly, the Congress has stated that the renewal of active memberships that have not been renewed, the distribution of new active memberships, and the management of memberships postponed at the 14th General Convention will also be completed by Asad 20.
The Congress is also going to complete the work of updating and new distribution of memberships of Nepali Public Relations Committees and the management of memberships of members who have merged with the Congress and joined the party within the same period.
As mentioned in the work schedule, the work of verifying the details of updated members will be conducted throughout the month of Asad, the Congress has stated.
As part of the campaign to make the party's membership management digital and systematic after the special general convention, the Congress is moving forward with the process of updating membership through an online system. The party leadership has stated that this process has been launched with the aim of making the active membership data transparent, reliable and up-to-date.
The new schedule, which was made public amid disputes over membership management within the party, is being seen as a preparation for the 15th general convention. The Congress has emphasized on completing the membership management as per the prescribed process and making the upcoming general convention systematic and dispute-free.
