In Thursday's meeting of the House of Representatives, opposition party lawmakers expressed dissatisfaction that the government did not listen to the issues raised.

After opposition party lawmakers protested in the meeting, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal provided time for them to express their views. On the occasion, lawmaker Narendra Kumar Kerung complained that despite repeatedly drawing attention to the issues raised by the Prime Minister in the parliament, including the issue of nationality, the report of the Property Investigation Commission, and the implementation of the human rights report, they were not listened to.

Lawmaker Laxmi Prasad Pokharel stressed the need to intensify diplomatic initiatives to bring back the encroached Nepali land and demanded that the Prime Minister's statement made on May 17 be withdrawn.

Lawmaker Ramesh Kumar Malla expressed regret that the questions raised by the opposition party in the parliament were not being properly addressed and suggested that the Prime Minister's statement should be removed from the parliament's records. He stressed that democracy and the constitutional system are in a state of weakening. MP Ain Mahar said that maintaining the dignity of the parliament is a shared responsibility of both the MPs and the government. MP Harkaraj Rai urged the government to properly address the demands and problems of Bhutanese refugees.

MP Tahir Ali Bhat demanded a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, saying that the rising fuel prices have put additional financial burden on the common consumer.
