Janmat Party Chairman Chandrakant Raut has said that there is a conspiracy to form a government with the strength of Madhesh but not to give them rights. Addressing a protest held by the Janmat Party at Maitighar on Monday, he said that no matter what system of government comes to power in Nepal, it is always lenient towards the demands of Madhesh.

He alleged that there is a continuous trend of forming a government by taking votes from Madhesh but ignoring the rights of Madhesh. Claiming that colonial rule was imposed on Madhesh during the Rana regime, he said that the Congress and communist parties have also cheated Madhesh in various ways in the last 75 years. Claiming that the Madhesh community was deprived of the expected achievements during the armed conflict, he said that the Madhesh have also been cheated by the Maoist-led movement. He claims that discrimination will not end until the political, social and constitutional rights of Madhesh are ensured.

‘The Rana also cheated Madhesh, imposed colonial rule, and we have evidence that the Congress and communists have also been cheating for 75 years,’ he said.

He has urged the current government to address the demands of Madhesh. He informed that a memorandum will be submitted to the Prime Minister on Monday through the District Administration Office to address the demands of Madhesh.
