Prakash Chandra Pariyar, a central member of the National Independent Party (NIP) and parliamentary party whip, has said that the country cannot become prosperous by criticizing and opposing the old political parties alone.

Pariyar, who came to Dhankuta to address the NIP district convention, said that major changes are not possible overnight and that the goal of development and prosperity can be achieved only through continuous work, hard work and results.

He opined that the main political enemies of the NIP are not the Congress, UML, Maoists or other parties but poverty, unemployment, backwardness, instability, distortion and inconsistency. He said that all state mechanisms should be focused on solving these problems.

'On Falgun 21, the Nepali people have punished the traditional parties through an unprecedented voter revolution,' he said, 'Now we cannot move forward by criticizing, opposing or poisoning the leaders and cadres of the old parties alone. Our real competitors and main enemies are poverty, unemployment and instability.'

Pariyar urged the party leaders and cadres to work more diligently, creatively and in a close relationship with the people. He said that everyone should make a joint effort to move the journey of development, prosperity and good governance forward.

He said that patience is necessary for change. 'Nothing is going to happen overnight. The more effort is made, the more results are brought, the more success is achieved,' he said, 'Work, work and work and results, results and results should be our main mantra.'

Speaking at the district convention of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) held in Dhankuta, Pariyar had called on the party cadres to focus on solving problems related to people's livelihoods by making political competition healthy.

The RSSSP Dhankuta is holding its first convention on Sunday. A nine-member working committee will be elected from the convention, informed Balananda Dahal, the coordinator of the RSSSP Dhankuta. There are five aspirants for the post of chairman. Dahal informed that homework is being done to finalize the leadership through unanimous method.
