Labor Culture Party Chairman Harkaraj Rai (Harka Sampang) has demanded that Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal make the Prime Minister present in the House and make him accountable.
In the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, Chairman Rai urged the Speaker to ensure the Prime Minister's presence as per Sub-rule (2) of Rule 15 of the Rules. Addressing the Speaker, Rai expressed dissatisfaction that the Speaker has not been able to make an effective 'ruling' even though they have been demanding the Prime Minister's presence for a long time.
'If you cannot make the Prime Minister accountable in the House, I request you to remove me from this House by implementing Rule 31 (1) of the Rules and increase the dignity of the House. Either you have to call the Prime Minister here, or you have to tell me to leave,' he said.
In response, Speaker Aryal said, 'There is no practice of instructing the Speaker on who to rule and how.' After the Speaker's statement, Speaker Rai left the House.
