Ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) MP Krishnahari Budhathoki has urged the government to immediately reconsider the decision to grant holidays on Saturdays and Sundays. In the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday, RSWP MP Budhathoki demanded the government to reconsider the decision to grant two-day public holidays in the education and health sectors, saying that it was not right from any side. MP Budhathoki argued that the government's decision in sensitive sectors like education and health was not practical and service-recipient-friendly.

There were widespread complaints that the two-day holiday implemented in the education and health sectors was not practical. This has created problems for students to wander and complete their courses. In addition, citizens are being deprived of emergency health services due to the two-day holiday. I would like to draw the government's special attention to immediately reconsider this arrangement in sensitive sectors like education and health,' MP Budhathoki said.
