Amid opposition opposition, the House of Representatives' Thursday meeting approved a proposal to consider three bills by a majority.

Amid opposition from the main opposition party, the proposals to consider the 'Election of Members of the House of Representatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2083', 'Voters' Roll (First Amendment) Bill, 2083' and the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081' were approved.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam presented all three proposals on behalf of the Prime Minister and Home Minister, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Balendra Shah. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal had asked for names to participate in the discussion in all three proposals, but none were received, saying that no one's name had been received.

The main opposition party, Nepali Congress, had protested from its own seat in the meeting. MPs from the opposition parties Nepal Communist Party (UML) and Nepali Communist Party (NCP) marched in front of the rostrum and chanted slogans.
