Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwaprakash Sharma has said that the 60/40 share distribution within the party will no longer be implemented. Addressing the Madhes Province Assembly on Wednesday, Sharma said that the issue of 60/40 share distribution has now become a myth, saying that it is a task to give responsibilities to those who did not participate in the special general convention at the center, in the parliamentary parties and in sister organizations.
Sharma also expressed dissatisfaction with the obstacles being faced by the establishment parties regarding the renewal of active membership. 'Let's take off our ego glasses and see that Gagan Kumar Thapa will not be able to extend the active membership in your ward, it will be done by the president of your ward.' He said that the achievements established by the 2062/63 movement, the Maoist rebellion and the Madhes movement should not be fragmented while amending the constitution. 'We should also be able to connect the sentiments of the Madhes-centric parties that were in the Constituent Assembly at that time but are not in the House of Representatives now,' he said.
