The central working committee meeting held at the central office on Friday decided to hold the central working committee meeting on Jestha 28 and 29 in Kathmandu, informed RPP spokesperson and publicity department chief Mohan Kumar Shrestha.
The committee, coordinated by the advisory committee chair Niranjan Thapa, has been given the responsibility to provide suggestions sought from the party by the debate paper preparation task force for constitutional amendment. The RPP will submit suggestions for constitutional amendment in accordance with the party's established principles and the spirit of the manifesto, a statement issued by spokesperson Shrestha stated.
Similarly, it has been decided that the report with suggestions from the review meeting held in all seven provinces regarding the recently concluded elections, presented by RPP General Secretary and Secretariat Chief Rajendra Gurung, will be submitted with modifications to the upcoming working committee meeting and then to the central working committee meeting. The RPP has called on the party ranks to gather in all local levels, regions, provincial assembly regions, districts and provinces in readiness for the general convention to be held in the near future, stating that it has been decided to re-conduct the party's district, local and all-level conventions that were previously postponed due to the House of Representatives elections.
Spokesperson Shrestha said that Vice President Hemjung Gurung, General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana and Joint General Secretary Prakash Rimal have been given the responsibility to determine the date and schedule of the party's upcoming general convention and submit it to the upcoming work performance meeting.
