Labor Culture Party Chairman Hark Sampang has accused Prime Minister Balendra Shah of ignoring the dignity of Parliament and parliamentary practices and said that he should resign from his post on moral grounds.

In a statement issued on Friday, he claimed that Prime Minister Shah had shown irresponsible behavior towards Parliament during the presentation of the policy and program.

He mentioned that the Prime Minister left Parliament while President Ram Chandra Poudel was reading the government's policy and program, did not return to the assembly after that, and was absent even during the discussion on the policy and program, did not come to Parliament even when the opposition demanded his presence, and watched the activities of Parliament live from his own office.

'On what moral basis does the Prime Minister, who was elected from the same Parliament by insulting the sovereign house of the people, consider himself the Prime Minister?' Rai asked in the statement.

He said that the Prime Minister had ignored the parliamentary tradition of answering questions raised in Parliament and that democracy would be honored if he resigned and paved the way.

'Since rights cannot be obtained by not fulfilling duties, it seems that democracy and the people will be respected if people resign from their posts on the basis of morality and pave the way for those who have not fulfilled even the minimum duties,' Rai said.

Rai has also accused the government of trying to rule through ordinances, bypassing the parliament. He has criticized the government for failing to protect the borders and provide relief to the poor and suffering people.
