Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chief Whip Khushbu Oli has objected to the Prime Minister being unresponsive to Parliament.

Speaking at a meeting of the House of Representatives, Chief Whip Oli accused the Prime Minister of ignoring parliamentary practice and dignity.

She recalled that there has been a tradition of dialogue and collective decision-making since Vedic times and stressed that democracy is not just a system of winning elections but a practice of continuous dialogue. Oli criticized the Prime Minister for his low attendance in Parliament.

Oli argued that the Prime Minister's non-participation in parliamentary practice confirms his reluctance to the House. He said that since the best minds from across the country are present in Parliament, the Prime Minister's participation is not just a formality but is essential for accountability to the people and a clear direction.

‘The Prime Minister left the first session without speaking, and in the second session, while discussions were going on about his own policies and programs, he got up and left in the middle,’ Oli said, ‘We raise the issue of squatters and the Constitutional Council in the House, but the Prime Minister responds through social media posts. This has become a pattern of being unresponsive to parliamentary practice.’

Stating that the people trust him as a powerful Prime Minister, Oli urged the Prime Minister to be accountable by attending the House and not limiting himself to social media.

She has also drawn attention through the Speaker to ensure the Prime Minister’s participation.
