The question is not between old and new, but between right and wrong: Dahal

Dahal said, ”There is a false narrative made in the name of 'old leaders' and 'old parties', they are all the same. And, they are trying to drag Prachanda into it. Is that the truth? No.”

NCP coordinator and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the statement that 'old leaders and old parties are all the same' is not correct.

Addressing the meeting of the House of Representatives, Dahal said, 'There is a wrong statement made in the name of 'old leaders' and 'old parties', they are all the same.  And, they try to drag Prachanda into it.  Is that the truth?  No. .'

Recalling the collaboration with the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, Dahal said, 'That is not the case in the case of the National Independent Party.  In the previous parliament, I collaborated closely with the Rashtriya Swatantra Party both as the Prime Minister and as the leader of the main opposition party. Strong collaboration. .'

Dahal mentioned that at that time, he had worked on good governance, simplification of service delivery, meritocracy, return of Lalita Niwas land, investigation into the Bhutanese refugee case and action against big mafias. 'Resistance to the misrule of two-thirds,' he said, 'Our numbers as the opposition were small. But, that small number fought against every injustice and distortion of the two-thirds of the huge ruling party.'

Dahal accused the old and new discourse of being philosophically, politically and sociologically wrong. He further said, 'The question is not of old and new, but of right and wrong.' The old and new discourse only creates the basis for division in the family, society and politics. The debate on right and wrong creates the basis for a new unity with momentum and transformation.'
