Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has expressed dissatisfaction over the release of high-ranking officials by the court. Stating that he has prioritized maintaining good governance since becoming the Home Minister, he said that the Karki Commission report was also implemented immediately. However, he expressed dissatisfaction over the release of the accused from the court.

'I thought that the most senior minister could improve everything from here,' he said, 'But, no, nowadays I think the judge is the biggest.'

He said that he has now learned about the past incident and has started studying how to take action so that the court does not miss it. 'I have started reading law books even at night,' he said while talking to reporters on Thursday evening, 'I have already told the police to prepare so that they do not miss the court.'

Gurung also said that a separate team has been formed to study legal matters and that such a thing will not happen again from now on.

Police had arrested former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak to implement the recommendations made by the Gauri Bahadur Karki-led commission formed to investigate the incidents of 23 and 24 Bhadra. However, they were released after a court order.

Former Minister Deepak Khadka, who was arrested for investigation in money laundering cases, was also released on a court order.
