Prime Minister Balendra Shah is set to hold discussions with the Chief Ministers of all seven provinces today for the first time after assuming office.

The meeting  will be held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar at 2 pm, his secretariat said.

The meeting  will focus on accelerating development work, ensuring proper allocation of resources, and resolving various administrative and economic problems faced by the provinces.

In addition, the agenda of the meeting will also include how to further strengthen cooperation between the center and the provinces to effectively implement national priority plans.

The meeting is also expected to try to build a common understanding on the country's current economic situation, infrastructure development, improvement in service delivery, and maintaining good governance.

This meeting is seen as an important step towards making the implementation of federalism more effective and providing direct benefits to the people.
