The government has committed to providing employment to 1.5 million people in the next 5 years. In the 'National Commitment' prepared by studying the manifestos of 6 nationally recognized political parties, the government has stated that it will create an environment for job creation within the country.

'Technical human resources in the fields of doctors, nurses, engineers, agriculture, forestry, information technology, etc. will be motivated to stay in the country and do jobs and businesses. A skill development program for workers will be launched by conducting research and documentation of the needs and availability of workers through the local level. 1.5 million jobs will be created in five years, making employment a permanent basis, not a temporary relief,' the commitment states.

The government has also stated that it will promote remote work, digital employment and cross-border service exports by making legal and policy amendments to ensure that people can work for foreign companies, agencies or employers while staying in Nepal. More employment opportunities will be created through policy reforms in priority sectors (information technology, construction, tourism, commercial agriculture, etc.). It has also been committed to launch a massive (Big Push) campaign to increase employment by completing projects related to physical infrastructure, solar or wind energy, and waste management, including green industry projects.

Public-private investment will be increased with the necessary resource allocation to develop the digital economy as a major sector for economic growth, high productivity, and quality employment creation. The commitment also mentions that employment opportunities will be created through the modernization of agricultural production, and that traditional skills will be modernized and branded to connect ancestral skills with modern technology and large industries.

It also mentions that compulsory labor will be made by connecting everyone with labor culture. There is a commitment to organize a job fair to create employment for the private sector in addition to the rural employment program. The government has stated that a comprehensive labor market reform program will be implemented to end fraud, wage arrears, and labor exploitation to build a safe, dignified, and just labor market.

The commitment states that a program will be launched to connect the skills and capital of workers who have returned from foreign employment to the development of the country. The government has also stated that engineering consultancy and technical assistance will be provided to convert remittances received from foreign employment into safe investments.
