Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has said that he will take the initiative to unite the Congress till the last moment. Inaugurating the 18th annual general meeting of BP Smriti Community Cooperative Hospital here on Saturday, he said that he wants to unite the Congress and establish it as the first political force in the upcoming elections. Koirala insisted that he is in favor of uniting the Congress rather than being in favor or against. "I have heard people promoting me on social media as belonging to this or that side, but I am not in any group of the party. My goal is to unite the Congress, and I will try until the end for that," he said. Koirala stressed that voters only changed their votes in the House of Representatives elections held on Falgun 21 and stressed that they should be active in the coming days to prevent that vote from being 'shifted'. He mentioned that the main reason for the weak presence of the Nepali Congress in Parliament is the inability to understand the people's wishes and the new political 'wind'.

Dr. Koirala, who is also the founding chairman of BP Memorial Hospital, said that retired doctors from there can make a special contribution to the effective operation of the hospital opened in the name of BP Koirala.
