After the arrest of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, he reacted to this on social media.
‘A promise is a promise. No one is above the law,’ Gurung wrote, ‘We have taken former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and outgoing Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak under control. This is not retaliatory against anyone, it is just the beginning of justice.’
He has also expressed confidence that the country will now take a new direction. Gurung wrote, ‘I believe, now the country will take a new direction.’
