The MPs were administered the oath by Arjun Narsingh KC, the senior member of the House of Representatives, at the Parliament Building in Singha Dabar.

More than sixty-three lawmakers took the oath in their mother tongue

The elected members of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament took the oath on Thursday. Out of a total of 275 members, more than 63 members informed the Parliament Secretariat that they would take the oath in their mother tongue.  

The members took the oath from Arjun Narsingh KC, the senior member of the House of Representatives, at the Parliament Building in Singha Dabar. Among the members who took the oath in their mother tongue, Yagya Bahadur Bogati took the oath in Achhami, Mohammad Istiyak Rai took the oath in Vadhi, Aakriti Awasthi took the oath in Doteli, Ganga Chhantyal took the oath in Chhantyal, and Karisma Katharia took the oath in 'Katharia Tharu' language. 

Similarly, Niskal Rai took the oath in Chamling and Deepak Raj Bohara took the oath in Doteli. Sujata Tamang and Parashuram Tamang took the oath in Tamang language. Kanta Chaudhary, Ashok Kumar Chaudhary, Geeta Chaudhary, Pushpa Kumari Chaudhary, Pramila Kumari Gachhadar and Surendra Chaudhary took the oath in Tharu language. 

Anushka Shrestha, Kulbhakta Shakya, Kushum Maharjan, Kapa Maharjan, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, Gangalakshmi Awal, Buddha Ratna Maharjan, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Rukesh Ranjit have taken oath in Nepali. 

Nitima Bhandari (Karki), Rabin Mahato, Rabindra Patel and Rajesh Kumar Chaudhary took oath in Bajjika language. Similarly, Ain Bahadur Mahar took oath in Bajhangi language. 

Madhav Raj Rai took oath in Bantawa, Kanhaiya Baniya, Arvind Sah, Buddhi Prasad Pant, Sushil Kumar Kanu took oath in Bhojpuri language. Renuka Kaucha took oath in Magar Kham language. Pramod Kumar Mahato, Raj Kishore Mahato took oath in Magahi language. 

Ankita Thakur, Asha Jha, Ujjwal Kumar Jha, Deepak Kumar Sah, Kamini Kumari, Jog Kumar Barbariya Yadav, Tapeshwor Yadav, Deepak Kumar Sah, Narendra Shah Kalwar, Nisha Mehta, Purushottam Shuprabhat Yadav, Manish Jha, Matrika Prasad Yadav, Ramji Yadav, Ruby Kumari, Shambhu Kumar Yadav, Shiv Shankar Yadav, Sitaram Sah took the oath in Maithili language. Kriparam Rana took the oath in Rana Tharu language. 

Similarly, Purna Prasad Limbu, Santosh Subba, Suhang Nembang took the oath in Limbu mother tongue. Khushbu Oli took the oath in Sanskrit language. 

Assistant Spokesperson (Deputy Secretary) of the House of Representatives Ananta Prasad Koirala said that initially 62 people had registered their names to take the oath in their mother tongue, but later the number was gradually increased and work was underway to confirm how many had taken the oath.
