In the election, 12.8 million 80 thousand 617 votes were cast in the proportional representation. Of these, 18 million 35 thousand 25 votes were valid.

The Election Commission has initiated the verification process according to ‘clusters’ for the names of 110 elected candidates submitted by six parties that crossed the three percent ‘threshold’ in the House of Representatives elections held on February 21.

12.80 million 617 votes were cast in the proportional election. Out of which 18.35 thousand 25 votes were confirmed. The National Independent Party (NISP), which received the highest number of votes among the confirmed votes, has submitted a list of 57 MPs according to clusters.

Similarly, the Congress submitted 20, the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) submitted 16, the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) submitted nine, the Labor Culture Party and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) submitted four lists each in clusters today. The verification process has been initiated to verify the lists according to clusters, informed the Commission’s Assistant Spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC.

Spokesperson GC said that if there are no errors in the list of candidates to be elected submitted by the parties according to the cluster, the list of elected candidates will be made public on Monday. In case there are some errors in the list submitted by the parties according to the cluster and it needs to be corrected, it may take up to three days.
