Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) candidate Karki has won from Lalitpur-3. Karki has been elected as an MP for the second time from Lalitpur-3. She defeated Jitendra Kumar Shrestha of Nepali Congress by a wide margin.
Karki got 43,096 votes while Shrestha got 9,045 votes. Similarly, NCP's Rajkaji Maharjan got 6,022 votes. Karki had also previously served as the Minister of State for Health.
