Issuing a statement after the voting for the House of Representatives member election was completed, President Thapa expressed his gratitude and respect to all those who made the election successful. He said, 'The enthusiasm and active participation shown by voters nationwide in the House of Representatives election has once again strongly expressed Nepali loyalty and unwavering commitment to democracy. On behalf of the Nepali Congress Party, I express my highest respect and gratitude to all the parents, sisters and brothers who participated in the election and exercised their precious right to vote.'
He said that the active participation of voters has, on the one hand, confirmed the deep faith in the democratic system and, on the other hand, made the political parties and the future government more responsible to work according to the expectations of the people.
He expressed special thanks to the government and the Election Commission for successfully conducting the election in a peaceful environment, except for a few incidents in some constituencies. 'We express our heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to the civil servants and all security agencies who worked day and night to make the election a success,' the statement said.
President Thapa also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the political parties, media personnel, and national and international observers who played a responsible role in the election.
