Police have arrested three people for anti-election activities in Chitwan.
Two people were arrested while protesting in front of Narayani Namuna Secondary School in Bharatpur this afternoon, informed Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal. Those arrested are Suman Shrestha, District Secretary of NCP (Majority) Chitwan, and Kiran Gautam, District Coordinator of Akhil Krantikari.
Similarly, an employee of the Madi Secondary School polling station in Madi Municipality under Chitwan-3 has also been arrested. Chief District Officer Aryal informed that he was taken into custody after office assistant Buddhisagar Poudel started asking for votes in favor of a particular party in a way that influenced voters.
