Chand argued that the Maoist rebellion and the Gen-G rebellion were the same, arguing that the then Maoist 'people's war' was unsuccessful and incomplete.

CPN-Maoist General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand has expressed doubts that the issues raised by the Gen-G generation will be addressed in the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21.
He said that even if the government announces and prepares for the election, there will be no managerial reforms as per the 'people's wishes'. He said that justice would have been achieved if the election had been held by addressing the demands of the Gen-G generation.
'There is no way that the Gen-G generation will be addressed. The attitude of the current big parties is the same. There are no leaders who are in a position to be truthful and listen to the people's voices. The country will not benefit from the election in such a situation,' said General Secretary Chand, who arrived as the chief guest at a political meeting and program organized in his native district of Rolpa. 'The election should be correct for the demands of the young generation and a way out of the country's chaotic politics. That situation has not been seen. The election held by this government has not worked according to the Gen-G movement and its demands. Therefore, even if this election is held, it does not seem like a way out.'
He spent a long time commenting on and raising questions about the leadership of his Maoist party, the then Maoists, and accused all governments of being involved in corruption. Arguing that the then Maoist 'people's war' was unsuccessful and incomplete, he said that the Maoist rebellion and the Gen-G rebellion were the same. 'The Maoists declared war and left it in the middle, and similarly the Gen-G rebellion also disappeared in the middle,' he said, 'That is why there is a connection between the two. The reason the people's war failed was the increase in corruption. The Gen-G generation rebelled when corruption and transparency were zero. However, it is a pity that the parties are not honest.'
Chand commented that the Darfur scandal and the many corruption scandals committed by the subsequent governments within the police have brought shame to the world. He claimed that the corruption scandals during the construction of Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports are examples of the same. He said, 'There is corruption in all sectors. There is an open policy of giving bribes. This situation has come about due to the failure of the party and the parties. The result of the Gen-G rebellion is a correct electoral system and achievements. But that did not happen.'
He said that the task is to remove KP Oli's government from the Gen-G rebellion and form a government of Sushila Karki. Commenting on the lack of attention to the problems of Nepalis who are suffering from poverty and the landless people across the country, he said that only politicization has been done everywhere and only slogans have been made for that.
Chand, who initially announced his candidacy in the election from Rolpa, later made district leader Chudamani Wali his candidate. Stating that his party is facing elections for the first time, he said that he will take the initiative to make the country self-reliant if he gets the support of the people. 'I want to come to power once and run the people's government under my own leadership,' he said, 'I have a plan to fulfill the demands and desires of the people. I want to move forward by connecting with production. We also have plans to make agriculture and fruits the main base area in Rolpa. Similarly, our aim is to develop tourism by connecting the water bodies of Rolpa and Thabang.'
He criticized Rabi Lamichhane and other new parties, accusing them of being parties without ideas, policies, and lines of action. ‘Those so-called new parties are not really new. Sometimes fascists can also become new parties. These are like that.’
General Secretary Chand, who arrived in Rolpa via Dang and Pyuthan during the special election campaign, had participated in programs and meetings in Sulichaur, Libang, Ghartigaun, and Jinabang of Rolpa. Interacting with intellectuals and activists in Libang, he expressed the view that nationalist forces should unite to protect the country’s independence and nationality as the country was in a difficult situation.
He urged the youth and patriots to understand the real wishes of the people and work for the welfare of the country. He addressed party meetings in Sulichaur, Ghartigaun, and Jinabang. In Rolpa, his party has 5 candidates for the House of Representatives, including direct and four proportional candidates.
He has spent about a week in Rolpa on special election programs. After completing the programs in Rolpa, he plans to reach Kalikot via Salyan on Sunday. There, he will seek votes in favor of candidate Khadka Bahadur Bishwakarma, said Prithvi Dangi, secretary of the CPN-Maoist Rolpa.
