UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has raised six questions about the Gen-G movement and the issues that have arisen since then. Releasing the manifesto for the House of Representatives election on Thursday, he said that he also has questions in the context of the voters asking him questions.

‘After Bhadra 24, a fog of uncertainty has spread in our country again. Our constitution and the entire system, which have been achieved as an achievement of more than 7 decades of struggle, have been attacked. Our independence and self-respect have been attacked,’ he said about the Gen-G movement, ‘Today Nepal stands at a crossroads, where on one side there is anger, passion and resentment, and on the other, conscience and responsibility, an attempt is being made to make the country a further laboratory in the ongoing fierce conflict between the opposing thoughts of ‘destruction and construction.’

He has put forward 6 questions, saying that the society itself is in the circle of questions. ‘Dear voters, when we are announcing our commitments a few weeks before the election, it seems that the entire society is in the circle of questions. Just as the general public has questions about the established political parties and leaders, including us, similarly I also have some questions,’ he said.

His 6 questions are- Was the country being built or was it broken before Bhadra 23? Or was the anger being spread in society by creating a fictional narrative that the country was in ruins? Who infiltrated the Gen-G demonstration on 23 Bhadau? Who forced the youth who were about to return home to the restricted area, saying that the peaceful demonstration was over according to the organizers' announced program?

He further asked, 'Was the incident of 23 Bhadau spontaneous or a prepared conspiracy? Or was the violence incited by the intruders to pave the way for the destruction of 24 Bhadau? The Gen-G protesters had no demands regarding the government, constitution, and system. Why was the House of Representatives dissolved in an attempt to attack the system itself as if their demands had been met? If it was just a plan to form a government favorable to them or hold elections, why were commercial establishments burned? Why were the private properties of ordinary party supporters from different districts from east to west simultaneously looted, vandalized, and set on fire because they only carried ideas?'

If it was political revenge, why were state security personnel who were performing their duties attacked?
