Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has accused international powers of using populism to manipulate the country. He has also claimed that international powers have attacked Nepal's democracy.
‘As the bearer of the federal democratic republic, it is once again becoming the center of people’s hope and trust. Despite the debates on ideas, politics, principles, history and heritage, there was an attempt to present populism by performing stunts on social media,’ Dahal said at the election program in Kathmandu-5 on Monday. ‘Just as world imperialism used populism against democracy and socialism, in Nepal too, there has been an attempt to attack democracy by repeating the same international phenomenon and interfere through geopolitical maneuvers.’
He said that there is a need to counter by strengthening the NCP. ‘To counter that, a force dedicated to the nation and the people is needed with new determination and review. We have moved forward by building the Nepali Communist Party to create that force,’ he added.
He stated that the entire nation is in the election cycle and claimed that the position of the Nepali Communist Party is getting stronger day by day.
