Chaudhary had approached the Supreme Court after the Election Commission rejected his candidacy from Kailali Constituency No. 1.
The Supreme Court has refused to issue an interim order on a writ petition filed against the cancellation of the candidacy of Resham Lal Chaudhary, the patron of the Civil Liberation Party Nepal.
On Sunday, a bench of Supreme Court Justices Sharanga Subedi and Tek Prasad Dhungana rejected the interim order, saying that it would be interpreted in the final judgment.
Chaudhary had approached the Supreme Court after the Election Commission rejected his candidacy from Kailali Constituency No. 1. The Election Commission had rejected his candidacy after he was found guilty by three levels of courts in a case of manslaughter related to the Tikapur massacre.
Chaudhary, who had filed his nomination from Kailali Constituency No. 1 for the upcoming election to the House of Representatives on Falgun 21, had his candidacy rejected by the Election Commission.
