Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has claimed that only the Congress can guarantee that Singha Durbar will not burn again.

Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, he described the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24 and asserted that the Congress will guarantee that the government will not open fire on citizens and that Singha Durbar will not be burned after the upcoming elections. President Thapa also said that the Congress will start a new chapter in the country's development after the elections by interacting with all citizens, young and old. He also said that the Congress wants to lead the work of managing the country.

'We should tell the voters. Let's close our eyes and think for a moment - after Falgun 21, 22 will also come. Bhadra 23 and 24 of next year will also come. If anyone can guarantee that the government will not open fire on citizens again on Bhadra 23 and 24 of next year, only the Congress can do it. We will take responsibility for this. We will do that. The job of managing the country is ours. It is our job to change the mistrust that exists within the country, to change the mistrust that exists towards each other into trust,' said President Thapa, 'The Nepali Congress communicates with everyone at this time. We communicate with the youth. We communicate with the elderly. We communicate with everyone in Madhesh and the hills. We also communicate with millions of citizens outside the country. And we want to join hands with everyone after Falgun 21 to start a new chapter in the country's development.' President Thapa also said that his party will work to instill trust in the common citizen to change the country.
