Ram Sundar Chaudhary is the candidate from the Nepali Congress in Siraha-1. Chaudhary, who started politics by joining the Nepali Sangh in 2036, is contesting for the first time. UML has repeated the victory of Ram Shankar Yadav from this constituency in 2079. Former Minister Ram Chandra Yadav is the candidate from the Nepali Communist Party (NCP).

The National Independent Party (RASP) has fielded former Youth and Sports Minister Bablu Gupta. Satyanarayan Yadav is the candidate from JSP Nepal and Ram Swaroop Chaudhary is the candidate from Janmat. A total of 41 wards are in this constituency, including Lahan Municipality, Sakhuwanankar Kattika-5, Laxmipur Patarika-5, Bhagwanpuraka-5 and Dhangadhimai Municipality 1 and 2. There are 58,855 male and 53,094 female voters here.

In 2079, Congress got 16,488 votes in this area on the proportional representation side, while UML got 16,337 votes. JSP Nepal got 10,481 votes, Janmat Party got 8,138 votes, CPN-Unified Socialist got 7,860 votes, Nagarik Unmukti Party got 1,784 votes, Maoist Center got 1,713 votes, and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh got 1,018 votes.

Congress has fielded Ramchandra Yadav as its candidate in Siraha-2. Yadav, who was elected as a member of the Constituent Assembly in 2070, is currently the district president. He contested and lost the election for the mayor of Dhangadhimai Municipality in the last local elections. Shivshankar Yadav is the candidate from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. This is the second election for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh central member. In 2079, he had become an independent candidate from this constituency and got 799 votes. Naveen Kumar Yadav is contesting the election for the first time from UML. Binod Kumar Yadav is a candidate from Janmat. In 2079, he had also become a candidate and got 16,902 votes. Muktinarayan Singh is a candidate from NCP, Sanjeev Kumar Yadav is a candidate from JSP Nepal, and Lalit Kumar Singh is a candidate from Ujjaya Nepal. This constituency includes Nawarajpur, Bariyarpatti, Aurahi Rural Municipality, Arnama Rural Municipality 4 and 5, Sukhipur Municipality, Dhangadhimai Municipality 3 to 14, Laxmipurpatari 1 and Golbazar Municipality-13 Ward.

In 2079, Janmat got 17,163 votes, UML got 13,385 votes, Congress got 12,378 votes, JSP Nepal got 11,927 votes, Maoist Center got 7,583 votes, Unified Socialist Party got 2,399 votes, and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh got 706 votes.

New and old candidates

UML leader Leelanath Shrestha has repeated his candidacy in Siraha-3. He was elected to the House of Representatives from Siraha-3 in 2074 and 2079 after losing to then Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal in the second Constituent Assembly member election in 2070.
This is his fourth election, having been a minister twice. Congress has fielded doctor Subhash Chandra Yadav as its candidate. He is the son of former Congress treasurer Sita Devi. He is the first time he has become a candidate.

JSP Nepal has fielded Asheshwor Yadav as its candidate. Known for his involvement in the Madhesh movement, he lost to UML's Shrestha by a narrow margin in 2074. NCP has fielded former minister Bishwanath Sah, Janmat has fielded Rohit Mahato, and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has fielded Shambhu Kumar Yadav. This constituency includes wards 1 to 12 of Siraha Municipality, Golbazar Municipality, Bishnupur Rural Municipality, Arnama Rural Municipality 1 to 3, and Naraha Rural Municipality 1 and 2.

In 2079, in the proportional representation, Congress had received 16,143 votes, UML 15,598 votes, Janmat 10,177 votes, Maoist Center 8,485 votes, JSP Nepal 7,960 votes, Unified Socialist Party 6,818 votes, RPP 1,582 votes, and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh 7,313 votes.

Five former ministers in the fray

Siraha-4 has become the most interesting area in the district. Five former ministers are in the fray from here. Rajkishore Yadav, vice-president of JSP Nepal, is the candidate. Yadav, who emerged from the Madhesh movement, has been an MP three times and a minister twice since 2064. He was elected a member of the Constituent Assembly from the then Siraha-6 in 2064 and was defeated in 2070. He won the 2074 election from Siraha-4 and won from Siraha-2 in 2079. This time he is back in Siraha-4.
Birendra Prasad Mahato is the candidate from Janmat. He became a proportional MP from JSP Nepal in 2070 and became a minister from JSP Nepal in 2079 after winning the election from Siraha-4. This time, he joined the Janmat Party and became a candidate.

The NCP has fielded Ajay Shankar Nayak as its candidate. He has been a proportional MP once and a minister once. He is contesting directly for the second time after being defeated in Siraha-4 in 2074. Dharmanath Prasad Sah is the candidate from UML. He is a former minister. Bishvendra Paswan, who was a proportional MP once and became a minister, has become a candidate from Bahujan Shakti Party.

The Congress has fielded Chandrakala Yadav as its candidate. She was defeated as the vice-chairperson of Bishnupur Rural Municipality in the last local level election. Tapeshwor Yadav is the candidate from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He is the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Madhesh Province President and is contesting the election for the first time. Binay Praveen is the candidate from Ujjaya Nepal.

In 2079, Janmat received 16,160 votes, JSP Nepal received 10,851 votes, UML received 9,177 votes, Maoist Center received 6,665 votes, Congress received 6,219 votes, LOSPA received 3,779 votes, CPN-S received 3,086 votes, RSVP received 1,801 votes, and RPP received 1,478 votes.
