UML will win at least 10 seats in Kathmandu Valley: Mahesh Basnet

UML Secretary Mahesh Basnet has claimed that he will win at least 10 seats in the Kathmandu Valley in the upcoming elections. At a dialogue program organized by Press Chautari Nepal, he claimed that he will win 10 seats even though preparations are being made to win all (15) seats in the valley.

He said that in the previous election, the five-party alliance and the craze for independents had to be reduced to two seats. He claims that this time the voters have come to the conclusion that UML is right.

What does Mahesh say?

Some nomadic friends come here and accuse us of buying and selling votes. That is what is bothering us, the people of the valley. The intellectual class and the educated class are the most here. That is why their votes have changed.

Sometimes, the valley has changed its vote even due to small incidents. Last time, the independent party had brought only seats from the valley. From that experience, the people of the valley have reached the point where they think that UML is right this time.

Last time, due to the five-party alliance, Balen and Raviji's craze for independents, we have won only two seats. This time, we have given the slogan of ensuring 15 seats in the valley for UML, but we will win at least 10 seats.
