There are 29 days left for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 21. Earlier, the Election Commission made public the final list of candidates submitted by the parties for the proportional representation on Tuesday.

In which the number of female candidates is found to be more than that of male candidates. According to the details made public by the Election Commission, there are 1,772 women in the final closed list for the proportional electoral system.

Similarly, there are 1,363 men. 63 political parties are participating in the proportional electoral system. The Commission has set a total of 57 election symbols.

According to the Commission, a total of 3,135 candidates have been selected as per the final list. The Commission has published the final list in accordance with Section 29 of the House of Representatives Member Election Act, 2074 BS and Sub-rule 2 of Rule 16 of the House of Representatives Member Election Regulations, 2074 BS.

The Commission had removed the names of 76 candidates from the closed list for various reasons. Of these, 21 people who were blacklisted by the Credit Information Center and a total of 25 people who were on the closed list for the proportional electoral system of the Provincial Assembly have been removed.

Similarly, the commission had also removed from the list 10 people who had not paid the prescribed fine and one person who was not from a backward area in the voter list. Similarly, the names of 10 people who had been written by the concerned political parties to remove their names have also been removed.
