A meeting chaired by Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, including Chief District Officers of all 77 districts, on Tuesday gave instructions to implement the Integrated Security Plan for the House of Representatives Election, 2082. The discussion focused on the peace and security situation, implementation of the election code of conduct, monitoring of polling stations, election police deployed at polling stations, employees, necessary vehicles and arrangements for transporting ballot boxes, said Anand Kafle, spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The meeting discussed issues such as maintaining high surveillance on border security, holding necessary coordination meetings with counterparts from neighboring countries, maintaining religious tolerance and harmony, adopting high security alert during festivals, controlling misuse of social media, and effective implementation of instructions given to the District Security Committee.
The discussion was attended by the heads of the ministry's divisions, departmental heads, Chief District Officers of all 77 districts, and employees of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
