UML-Maoist Joint Manifesto (2074): Left's Majority Goal
‘Since the communist and leftist forces are the main leading forces of the patriotic movement, a government with a majority of leftists is necessary to protect national freedom, sovereignty, independence, geographical integrity, self-respect and interests,’ the manifesto stated. ‘Since we, the communist and leftist forces, are the main leadership and driving force of the struggle to establish a federal democratic republic and complete the capitalist democratic revolution, a majority of leftists is necessary in the parliament and government to implement and implement the Constitution of Nepal with the original meaning and spirit of change.’
It was argued that it would not be possible for anyone other than the communist and leftist forces to utilize and mobilize all national resources and means for the supreme development of Nepal, to build a prosperous Nepal with social justice through rapid economic development in all sectors at once, to achieve employment and a high standard of living, to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people, and to prepare the basis for socialism.’ ‘Even when we got the opportunity to lead the government in a short time, we have proven ourselves right.’ Therefore, a majority of the left is necessary to build a prosperous Nepal,' the manifesto said, 'Ending corruption and establishing good governance is possible only under the leadership of communists and leftists.'
Although it succeeded in establishing political stability in that election, it could not last long due to the struggle between the two presidents, Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
'In order to maintain political stability, lasting peace and national security, we have started the historic work of uniting all communist parties and leftist democrats. Political stability is possible only through this cooperation,' the manifesto said.
In the 2079 House of Representatives elections, the UML had set the main mantra and national resolution of 'Strong nationalism and strong democracy' and ambitions including 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis'.

Similarly, free meters in drinking water: ten thousand liters, fee unit: 50 units, water in fields: not in the Gulf, youth in the country, road expansion day by day: the basis of development infrastructure, underground wires: city markets, no lines: online services, 5 lakh jobs: minimum wage 25 thousand, connection with prosperity: everyone's bank account, healthy menstruation: 1500 years, 5G communication: a miracle in IT, we are social: civilized citizens, our wealth: 100 trillion.
Immediately after the 2079 Manjesh elections, the UML-Maoist government was formed under the leadership of Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, but it could not move forward. That government lasted only two months. Then, after the Congress-Maoist coalition government was formed under the leadership of Oli, those commitments could not be implemented.
The Congress-UML coalition government was formed in Asad 2081, but for a year, the commitments mentioned in the UML manifesto in the last election remained unfulfilled.
