Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has urged leaders and cadres to work towards making the Nepali Communist Party the first in the upcoming elections.
At the National Assembly Parliamentary Party meeting held at Singha Durbar on Sunday, he stressed the need to create an atmosphere in favor of the party by incorporating 20 parties and selecting candidates for the House of Representatives in a manner that includes all parties. Coordinator Dahal said that he was confident that the election would yield good results as public opinion, efficiency and image were taken as the basis while selecting candidates for the general and proportional representation.
Coordinator Dahal said that the party's image has become positive nationally and internationally due to the initiatives taken by the NCP in the Gen-G movement and subsequent developments.
The meeting has appointed Beduram Bhusal as the leader of the National Assembly Parliamentary Party. Similarly, Madan Kumari Shah has been appointed as the chief whip and Ganga Belbase as the whip. The party has stated that the new leadership was selected after party leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha resigned and became a candidate in the House of Representatives election.
