Writer, civic activist, and political analyst Yug Pathak has joined the Nepali Communist Party (NCP).

Leaders including NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal welcomed Pathak to the party this morning by serving him food. The welcome program was attended by Coordinator Dahal, Co-Coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal, leaders Beduram Bhusal, Ranjita Shrestha, Pampha Bhusal and Ganga Dahal.

Coordinator Dahal said that he felt happy and proud to welcome him to the party. Similarly, Co-Coordinator Nepal congratulated him and said, 'May your role become more powerful and effective.'

In the 2079 House of Representatives elections, Pathak had filed an independent candidacy from Jhapa-5 under the Putali symbol. Pathak's novel 'Urgenko Ghoda' and non-fiction 'Mangena: Nepal Manthan' have been published.
