The deadline for candidates to withdraw their names for the House of Representatives elections is 1 pm today.

After the withdrawal period ends, the final list of candidates will be published today from 1 pm to 3 pm in the offices of 77 Chief Electoral Officers and 88 Electoral Officers across the country. 

Election Commission Assistant Spokesperson Kul Bahadur GC informed that the election symbols will be given to the candidates from 4 pm to 7 pm today.

Similarly, according to the information received by the Commission from the offices of 77 Chief Electoral Officers and 88 Electoral Officers across the country, the Commission has stated that 3,088 male candidates, 395 female candidates and 3,485 third gender candidates have registered their candidacies.

Out of these, complaints were filed against five candidates from four districts. Based on the complaint, the candidacy of Resham Chaudhary, a candidate from Kailali District Constituency No. 1, has been rejected. Based on the information received at the office of the Electoral Officer in Kathmandu District Constituency No. 10, the candidacy of Miteri Party candidate Sumitra Basnet, who was blacklisted by the Credit Information Center, has also been rejected, said Election Officer Amrita Kumari Sharma.
