Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has said that he has adopted a moderate stance to prevent a party split.
At a meeting and discussion program organized in Morang Constituency No. 6, Sundarharaincha on Thursday, leader Koirala said that he has chosen a peaceful and gentle side to save the party.
Stating that the party has moved forward for the House of Representatives elections, leader Koirala said that the elections will provide a clear solution for the country. In the discussion, leader Koirala clarified about not participating in the special general convention, saying, 'If I had gone to the special general convention, the party could have split. I have taken the middle path so that the party does not split.'
Stating that the special general convention is a party process, leader Koirala said, 'This is a party process. Today, Dila (Dr. Dila Sangraula) ji and I are in the same place, we are walking together in the election race. Therefore, the issue of the general convention is over, let's not go towards that.'
