The Central Cyber Bureau of the Police has summoned Swagat Nepal (Bhadra Prasad Nepal), a candidate for the House of Representatives of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).
Cyber Bureau spokesperson and SP Deepak Raj Awasthali said that Nepal was summoned because he needed to understand something.
RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha said that Nepal had been summoned and that they would be present and respond. Nepal accepted that the Cyber Bureau had summoned him and said that he could be arrested. “I was called yesterday to appear. I said that I was campaigning in Jhapa,” he said, “I will come and respond tomorrow. But I understand that there is a plan to arrest me. Seeing that the atmosphere between me and the RPP is good, they are trying to arrest me.”
The Cyber Bureau said that Nepal was summoned to understand the statements made by Nepal on social media. The police have not disclosed who filed a complaint against him and what.
Nepal, who joined the RPP on 5th Magh, has filed his candidacy from Jhapa-2.
