Kishori Karki, who came to limelight after rescuing the injured during the Gen-G movement, has filed her candidacy for the upcoming elections from Okhaldhunga. She has filed her candidacy for the House of Representatives on behalf of the Ujjaya Nepal Party.

Karki came into the limelight after she took a young man who had been shot during a protest in Baneshwor, Kathmandu, on a stranger's motorcycle to the hospital. After the protest turned violent, she took the young man who was injured by police bullets to the hospital.

The motorcycle used during the rescue was later set on fire at the police station and destroyed. The motorcycle of Shailendra Shahi Thakuri of Baitadi was purchased and handed over to Karki through social media after collecting funds through social media.

Identity of the conflict victim and political stance Karki, a permanent resident of Okhaldhunga, says that she herself is a conflict victim.
