Minister Aryal held discussions with Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari and other officials at the commission's office, Bahadur Bhawan, on Saturday.
Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal and Election Commission officials have discussed the work done as per the approved schedule for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
Minister Aryal held discussions with Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari and other officials at the Commission's office, Bahadur Bhawan, on Saturday. On the occasion, Acting Chief Election Commissioner Bhandari informed that the election work is being carried out regularly and on schedule as per the work schedule approved by the Commission.
He said that the offices of the election officers have been established and more than 80 percent of the work has been completed in terms of election preparations. The Commission is also conducting the National Assembly elections on Magh 11. Bhandari informed that close monitoring will be carried out to make the implementation of the election code of conduct effective.
Home Minister Aryal assured that the ministry and the Commission would identify issues that require dual coordination and collaborate, and said that the government has made adequate preparations for security management. He also clarified that the government will ensure security as per the integrated security plan for the election preparation, voting process and counting of votes.
Commission Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut informed that the ballot papers for the National Assembly member election have been printed and that the ballot papers and election materials are now in the process of being sent to the concerned offices.
